Truth or Dare Privacy Policy
Effective: 22 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Truth or Dare mobile game (“TD: Truth or Dare” on the App Store and Google Play, called “DC: Doğruluk mu Cesaretlik mi?” in Turkish; “the app”) collects, why, who receives it and what choices you have. The app is published by Kreative Center (Bedirhan Samsa and Kazım İhtiyar), who are responsible for your data (“we”). Contact: info@kreative.center.
In short
- There is no sign-up and no account. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- The player names you type, your custom questions, your answers and your game history stay on your phone. They are never sent to us or to the ad network.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob; Premium and Ad-Free remove them. Your advertising identifier is used for personalised ads only if you allow it.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- You can turn usage statistics off in Settings at any time.
What stays on your phone
Your player list and avatars, the game in progress, your statistics and game history (your last 100 games, with player names and scores), your custom questions, the party cards you have drawn recently and your settings (such as language, theme, sound, read-aloud, +18 questions and your 18+ confirmation) are stored only on your device. You can clear your game history on the Statistics screen. The result picture you can share at the end of a game is made on your device and goes only where you send it with your phone's share sheet. Read-aloud uses your phone's own text-to-speech.
What we collect and why
- Device ID and app integrity: on first launch the app proves to our server (Kreative Orion) that it is a genuine copy (Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity) and gets an anonymous device ID. With it we receive the platform, operating system version, device model, app version, the app's language and your time zone, and while the app is open it checks in with our server about once a minute. We use them to run the app's online parts (question updates, purchases, support, notifications), to protect our servers from abuse and for statistics. On iPhone the device ID is kept in the Keychain, so it stays the same if you reinstall the app. The support ID in Settings is this device ID.
- Questions and content: the app downloads updated questions, party cards, short announcements and the list of our other games from our server. These requests carry your device ID and language, nothing about your games. If you open, tap or close an announcement, we receive that too.
- Question suggestions: when you use Suggest a Question, we receive the question, its mode and category, with your device ID. We review every suggestion and show you its status in the app; an approved question can be added to the questions every player sees, without your name or device ID. Please don't write personal data in a suggestion.
- Purchases: if you buy Premium or Ad-Free, the product, your subscription status and transactions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and by RevenueCat, linked to your anonymous device ID, and our server receives the same purchase events. If you redeem a promo code in Settings, our server receives the code. We use them to unlock and restore your purchase. Payment card details stay with Apple or Google.
- Advertising (free version): the app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob receives ad requests and interactions (for example which ads were shown or tapped), the approximate location derived from your IP address, device information (such as the device model, operating system and language), your consent choices and your advertising identifier: on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking, on Android unless you have deleted it in your phone's settings. When you choose to watch a rewarded ad for an extra pass, the reward is tied to your anonymous device ID so that it can be verified. Google uses this data to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Player names, questions and answers are never sent to AdMob. With Premium or Ad-Free, the app requests no ads.
- Usage statistics: in-game events such as a game starting, ending or being saved, with its settings (mode, number of players, game length, whether +18 or custom questions are on) and results (such as the number of truths and dares), which of our questions was answered and how (only its ID, never your custom questions), the screens you open, purchase steps, ad events (for example an ad being requested, shown or tapped, its estimated revenue and your ad consent choice), notification opens, the settings you change (on/off and option values only) and, on Android, how you found the app (the Google Play install referrer). They come with the app version, language, whether you have Premium or Ad-Free, your notification and tracking permission status and the country our servers derive from your IP address. They never contain player names, your custom questions, your suggestions or anything else you type. We use them to fix problems and improve the game. You can turn them off in Settings → Usage statistics.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error reports and performance data (Sentry), without your device ID, IP address or other personal identifiers. We use them to find and fix bugs.
- Notifications (optional): if you allow notifications (the app asks after your first finished game, or you turn them on in Settings), the app sends our server your device's push token and whether notifications are on. We use them to tell you when our support team replies and, now and then, to send news about the game such as new question packs. The game night reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing about them is sent to us.
- Support: the subject and messages of the support requests you write in the app (Settings → Contact support), with your device ID, so we can answer you. Report a bug and Feedback open your email app with your support ID and app version filled in; we receive what you send us by email.
- App updates: the app downloads updates from our server. These requests carry the platform, the app version, the IDs of the installed updates and a random installation ID.
- Connection data: your IP address and the approximate country Cloudflare derives from it, to deliver and protect our servers and for aggregate statistics.
Legal bases
We process your data to provide the app and the purchases you make (performance of our contract with you); for our legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention, fixing bugs, measuring and improving the game, reviewing question suggestions, non-personalised ads); with your consent (personalised ads and tracking, notifications); and to meet legal obligations. Residents of Türkiye can also read our KVKK notice.
Who receives your data
- Service providers working for us: the hosting provider of our Kreative Orion servers in the European Union; Cloudflare (network security and delivery); Sentry (crash reports, stored in its EU region in Germany); Expo, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications); RevenueCat (purchase verification).
- Apple and Google: store purchases, app integrity checks and notifications, under their own privacy policies.
- Google AdMob and Google's consent tools: advertising and consent management in the free version, under Google's privacy policy. How Google uses this data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Authorities: only where the law requires it.
- Nobody else: other players never see your data. An approved question suggestion is shown to players without your name or device ID.
Tracking and advertising
On iPhone and iPad, the app asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before your advertising identifier can be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites; before the system prompt, a screen in the app explains what it is for. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices first. Both come after the introduction screens, on the home screen. If you say no, you still see ads, but they are not personalised; no part of the game depends on your answer. Ads are limited to content suitable for teens. Banners appear at the bottom of the screen and full-screen ads between turns or rounds, never in the first two minutes and at most once every three minutes; rewarded ads play only when you choose to watch one. Premium and Ad-Free remove all ads. You can change your choices in Settings → Privacy & ad choices (where Google's consent form applies) and in your phone's settings.
Your choices and rights
- Usage statistics: Settings → Usage statistics.
- Notifications: turn them off in Settings → Notifications or in your phone's settings.
- Ads and tracking: on iPhone and iPad, allow or stop tracking in your phone's settings (Privacy & Security → Tracking); on Android, delete or reset your advertising ID in your phone's settings; where Google's consent form applies, change your choices in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. Premium and Ad-Free remove all ads.
- Adult content: +18 questions, modes and cards appear only after you confirm that you are 18 or older; you can turn +18 questions off in Settings.
- Access, copy or deletion: the app has no delete button. Request it on kreative.center/dc/delete-account or write to us, with the support ID from Settings (tap it to copy). We will send you the data linked to it or delete it: the device record, push token, support requests, question suggestions and the usage statistics tied to your device. A question that was already approved stays in the question list without any link to you. Purchases stay with your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored; deleting your data does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account.
- Your rights: depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to its processing, withdraw consent at any time and complain to a data protection authority. Write to info@kreative.center; we answer within 30 days.
- US state privacy laws (such as California's): we do not sell personal data. Personalised ads based on your advertising identifier may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under these laws; you can opt out by not allowing tracking on iPhone and iPad, by deleting your advertising ID on Android or by writing to us.
How long we keep data
- Device record: while you use the app, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Push token and notification setting: while you use the app, or until you ask us to delete them; a token that stops working (for example after you uninstall the app) is removed sooner.
- Usage statistics: no longer than 24 months. Aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Question suggestions: while they appear in your suggestions list in the app, or until you ask us to delete them; an approved question stays in the question list without any link to you.
- Data collected by Google AdMob: Google keeps it under its own rules.
- Support requests and emails: as long as needed to handle your request, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records: Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep them under their own rules and as tax law requires.
International transfers
Our Kreative Orion servers are in the European Union, so if you use the app from outside the EU (for example from Türkiye), your data is transferred abroad. Some of our service providers, such as Apple, Google (including AdMob), Cloudflare, RevenueCat and Expo, also process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it (for example Article 9 of Türkiye's KVKK or the GDPR), we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful safeguards, or ask for your explicit consent.
Children and adult content
Truth or Dare is a party game for teenagers and adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The +18 and Purge Night modes, +18 questions and the +18 level of party cards are for adults only: the app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older before it shows them, and does not ask for your date of birth. If you are under 16 (or under the age of digital consent where you live), make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, for example in a support request or a question suggestion, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). The app's device ID and its access token for our server are stored in your phone's secure storage, and access to our servers is restricted. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you where the law requires.
Changes
We publish updates on this page with a new effective date and tell you in the app about important changes.
